I want to bag my 65 lincoln continental, and put custom rims on it.?

Do I have to cut anything to bag it, and how big of rims can I fit in the stock wheel wells? I would like to put it on 22's, but I really don't want to cut anything, as it is a #'s matching car with 47k miles on it. If I need to, I will just lower it a bit, and run 20's. Any advice? What wheel offset?
