I want my denim shorts to be light blue, if i soak them in bleach what colour will...

...they be? I want to bleach my dark blue denim shorts a light blue, if i soak them in bleach, will they go white or lighter blue?

When bleach hits blue it usually turns a bright orange. You don't want orange shorts. You can get this stuff called "Rit dye remover" and lighten your shorts that way. Its a powder that you boil on the stove and you add your shorts and stir for about 20 to 45 minutes. I did this to lighten a pair of jeans and it worked wonders! You can get it in almost any laundry aisle.

white.....wash them in the washer... add a cup of bleach....if they aren't light enough repeat until they are the right color...

they'll definitely turn white or an ugly yellow..don't bleach them!
