Hey everyone, i have never been up on the newest cellphone technologies. I have a Tracfone Motorola W376g right now and barely go through 100 minutes a month. But lately i have been wanting a nicer phone but don't want an expensive plan. I want a phone with alot of features like internet, email capable, gps, and more. Honestly, i don't know what all the new phones can do, but from what i have seen i would like a nice phone but don't need an expensive plan.

The Tracfone fits me good right now with the few minutes i use, but the phones are very cheap and dull. Call me a cheapskate, but i want a phone with all the bells and whistles without the expensive plan.

Right now 100 hours a month is about the most minutes i ever use. I almost never text. Can i find a cheap plan with some provider that includes data, but very few minutes and text?

I say go T-Mobile prepaid and get a $100 refill card for 1000 minutes since you barely go over 100 minutes per month. Then buy a phone unlocked. You really can't expect to get a decent unlocked smartphone with WiFi under $100 brand new.

Huawei IDEOS ($100 - $200 unlocked depending on the country)

If you want a better brand, look into the Nokia Nuron. But it has no WiFi. For something with WiFi but will be a bit pricier, wait for the Nokia C6-01.

Is Nokia's secret weapon called the C6-01?

Honestly, depending on your needs, go for Android if you want a future with software updates or a Nokia for better hardware features and a more reputable company.

virgin mobile. you can not beat $25 a month for unlimited data, text, and 300 minutes. hope sprint is good in your area.

also, if you want data, stay away from t-mobile prepaid. $1/hour is RIDICULOUS!

maybe page plus, though their 1200/1200 plan might be too much for you, especially with only 50mb.

boost cdma is also an option if you have sprint coverage. 35 cents a day for unlimited web and 10 cents a minute for voice. can use most sprint smartphones (no exclusives), unlike virgin mobile.

platinumtel is also a great option, though their phone selection is old and completely dated to the general public. nobody wants a blackberry from almost 5 years ago. their rates are great though, 2 cents/text, 5 cents/minute, 10 cents/MB is hard to beat on a PAYG plan.

for the best value, i say virgin mobile.
