...save for one? I'll be turning 15 soon, not 16, but I'm one of those people who like to plan ahead.

When I can drive, I'll be carting around my little brother and sister a lot, so I think having a large car would be beneficial in case an accident were to happen.

I've run this by my parents, and they haven't flat out said no, but they aren't on board with it, either.

I've found used ones in good condition for about 20k.

I guess I'm just asking for opinions, info, and anything else you can give me.


OR, can you recommend any other big cars (not pricey)??
 
Compare how much miles per gallons these cars are consuming but if money is open, go for SUV.
 
I feel ya, I am a 15 year old male. i turn 16 in 7 months. The Hummer is ugly bulky slow and eats gas. As a teenager, dont you want something stylish affordable and reliable? as you all know, when we get our cars we will be driving very far with very little money for gas. especially for a hummer

2000-2005 Impala LS. fast sporty and safe
2001-2005 Mazda Tribute- rugged and sporty
2000-2006 Honda Accord stylish reliable and safe
2001-2008 Honda Civic efficient pratical and safe\
2002-2005 GMC Envoy- better than hummer
1999-2004 Grand cherokee- way better than hummer. limited and overland edition is the best
2003-2008 Hyundai Tiburon-extremely sporty. looks like a sports car
2006-2008 Hyundai Sonata V6 Fast and sleek
2002-2004 VW Jetta 1.8 Turbo. fast great quality head turner and safe
 
ok lke get a job that pays about at least 650 an hour. dont' go out to eat. get food from walmart or piggly wiggly or food for less. set about 25% of any money you get aside in a drawer or something cuz im savin for a dodge charger. but you may want to start kinda smaller too. but hey i learned how to drive a navigator and an escalade so get experience first. it pays off and seems so cool. like your ballin.
 
I like the looks of the Hummer, but many people who test drive
these are surprised by how difficult they can be to maneuver,
park, turn. People like the looks but really get tired of how
hard they are to drive, plus costs to operate are higher. The H3
handles a bit better. You really have to test drive some cars to
find out about visibility, comfort etc.
 
Buying a used hummer is a terrible idea for a teenager.

Besides being one of the most unreliable and gas guzzling vehicles on the road, do you really think you could afford the insurance on one?

Get a 1998-2000 Honda Accord, or something like that. Most teenagers wreck their first vehicle and you may as well have something cheaper while not killing someone else.
