I want a hairstyle that is layered on the ends only so it looks NOTHING like a bob cut?

I've been to almost 4 different stylists and told all of them that I hate anything that resembles a bob cut, and I keep gettng yet another bob cut! My hair naturally flips slightly upward on the ends and I am a wash and go gal, not a wash and blow for hours on end gal..!..any Professional stylist...HELP! how do I explain this to them? I've even brought photos from hairstyle magazines.
