Nic, I'm connecting _wired_ anyways, so essentially I just need the switch portion of the router to be able to handle gaming traffic. the Belkin N has ridiculous difficulty even handling wired gaming traffic.
Is the Linksys WRT54GL,
or the D-Link DGL-4300 better for gaming?
I have a Belkin N Wireless F5D8236-4 v2 currently, and it is terrible. It can't handle multiplayer games, gets me pings of 300-800 ms and kicks me out.
Connect to my neighbor's Linksys, and I get decent 9 ms-180 ms.
Connect directly to my cable modem, and I get 5 ms-50 ms.
