I want a Brat Pack films season on TV!

Ok - the genre isn't everyone's cup of tea but I'd really like to see a season of 80s US "brat pack" films on C4 or BBC2 in a regular slot.

Heathers
Some Kinda Wonderful
Pretty in Pink
The Breakfast Club
Weird Science

early John Hughes stuff

etc etc

Anyone agree?

yeah i love all that stuff :) there was recently an 80's film season at my local UGC cinema but no brat pack films unfortunately (i did get to see ghostbusters and back to the future though  )

Never got round to buying them on DVD butI've got most of them on video and my kiRAB now adore them as much as I do.

A brat pack season would be fantastic as there are one or two I haven't got.

Oh yes - who could forget Ghostbusters, Lost Boys etc.

And don't forget my fave War Games ( Teenage computer hacker Matthew Broderick playing Tic Tack Toe with a US Government nuclear war computer??? Great film)

Back To The Future 1,2 and 3 of course but they get repeated on ITV fairly regularly.

What was the sequel to Pretty in Pink, that was basically the same story with the sexes reversed? I thought that was much better than the original. What am I thinking of?

This would be a nice idea, sadly though the main channels don't put many films on any more - they would rather fill the schedules with Pop Fame Star Brother Idol 4 and Celebrity DIY Makeover Pet Wife Swap USA.

Also, when they do show something decent it is on at 12:30am

LOL anyway, I remember BBC2 showed "The Breakfast Club" when they first aired "I Love the 80's" a few years ago. That is a great film.
