I want a Blackberry but..?

- i already have a contract with my current phone. i can't renew it till another year
so that's why i wanted to get a new one. can i still buy the phone and still continue
with my current plan?
-with or without a contract, do blackberry's still have bbm?
- if i do buy the phone, do i have to get a data plan or some other plan to include if i do
choose to get a blackberry?
