i wanna make my 2.3 2004 ford ranger go fast :)
that's pretty much it.
i was thinking a lot of things.
what would be my best option?
say if money was no object.
and also if money was a problem.
but then again. i don't know i should put money into the little guy because it might not even be worth it.
help me out?

A Nox kit would definately make it faster, would also burn up the parts faster.
Boreing the pistons and stuff is the old school way.
Something as seemingly inconspicuos as an exhaust diameter change can raise or lower the torque and bhp.
If it goes 65 on the highway, that is fast enough.

I don't think there's anything you'll want to do. It's just not a performance vehicle.

That said, the 2.3 was available for a while with a turbocharger (like in the aerocoupe and Merkur xr4ti). It's a tough little engine.

Nitrous is cheap, but not for beginners.

You could trade it in on something fast.

I would just keep it the way it is and enjoy the cheap insurance, good fuel economy, and reliability.
