I wanna buy a new bike and need help?

I am buying a new bike soon and needed some help. I found a diamondback with a 1pc crank. I was told many times 3 pc cranks are all around better. Im not gonna be doing any tricks on it. But am gonna be riding it alot and pretty far. And wanted to know if a 3 pc would be better speed and cruising. Thanks
I just heard 3 pc cranksets are better for speed and everything
 
yes but i would go with a specialized or a next because specialized is good for cruising but if u want to go on dirt roads i would recommend a next-shocker becuause they have better suspension in the middle and the front

are you referring to the number of cogs on the crankset? If so the three piece on would probably be better for you, it will allow you a bigger range of gearing so you can more easily find a comfortable pedaling cadence as you encounter hills and flats.
 
The cranks won't make any difference in speed or cruising. The one piece crank is found on cheaper bikes because it is less expensive to make.

A cheaper bike is going to have less expensive parts all around and it wont be as fast. If you want a fast efficient bike go to a bike shop. Walmart and other department store bikes are made as cheaply as possible.
