I use virgin media broadband on my lap top?

I have been using my lap top for about 4 years since changing from dial up connection and giving up my pc I have wireless connection I can use my laptop anywhere in the house. I am wondering if I take my lap top to a coffee shop where they have WIFI connection would Virgin Media let me connect to that connection or would I have a problem trying to connect. I have never taken my lap top out before so this will be completely new for me.

Of course, but if they have they're wifi service locked you'll have a problem. Depends, usually in public u can use it, in ur case the coffee shop, possibly so. But not ur neighbors.

You can connect to any network you wish, chances are if you are with virgin you have that virgin thing installed on your computer that tells you your password and connection details. Can't remember what its called. Anyway, before you try to connect look at the bottom right bar for the virgin media symbol for that program and exit/disable it. Sometimes it interferes with trying to connect with other WIFI sources, this is because it automatically makes your computer try to connect to your virgin network no matter where you are.
