I uninstalled flash player by accident and now want to reinstall, but adobe

prevents me from doing this...why? I have tried system re-store but for unknown reason it is not working. On the adobe site I click on install and after about a minute the system crashes. Not sure if it is anything to do with ActiveX. Would be grateful for any suggestions.
 
Adobe is preventing you because you arent reading the installation instructions. Choose to save the program, not to run it. Close your browser and then run the saved file
