...- is it okay to delete? I got a photo scanner that I was hoping to use. I installed the driver and the photo scanning/editing software for it from Arcsoft that came with the scanner. However, I'm not able to use it as it says the buffer size for the USB bus port is too small. So, there is nothing I can do - I can't use the scanner (unless I buy a better computer).

I uninstalled the Arcsoft software (it was buggy and slowed my computer) and it's off now. However, there were some shared files that I left on (it asked me about this during the uninstall process and I opted to leave those files just to be safe). One of the remaining files was a connect service when my computer starts up (it had an annoying pop up window by the system tray). I went to MSCONFIG to disable this from starting up.

Now, my computer runs fine again (thank God). But, I'm thinking of going into the folders to manually delete those other files. I've been able to locate the folder. However, I'm wondering if I should just leave these files? They may be shared for another Arcsoft panoramic program I have; and, my computer seems working fine now.

I just want to clean this out though so my computer is how it was before I installed (just for the sake of knowing it's clean). Should I try deleting it? Or, is it better just to leave it as it is - since those files aren't being loaded anyway at startup anymore?

Please help.
