I tried to hook up my Xbox 360 to XBox Live, it stops at IP Address and says it fails,..

...My router is wired.? I have everything hooked up right because I followed the directions. Anybody have an idea on what it could be?
I tried connecting it to the modem directly, it came up with the same thing about the IP Address
 
OK first try hooking your xbox up directly to you modem just to make sure that it is your router or router settings.
