I touched a rusty screw? Should I be concerned about my health?

I had to removed the rusty screws in the bottom of my toilet water tank. These screws were so corroded that when I touched them, they just broke apart. Although, I don't see any cuts on my hand, should I be concern? I don't remember when i got my tetanus shot? I'm becoming very concerned and I am even thinking about going to the hospital

If your skin is not broken you have nothing to worry about.

Also remember that rust is not harmful, it is the tetanus bacteria that sometimes is found with dirty and/or rusty things that can cause tetanus.

So the only time you should worry about tetanus is if you actually *cut* yourself with something rusty and/or dirty. Just touching is nothing to worry about.

lol i think you're overthinking this.
the only reasons you would have to be concerned are if the rust somehow got into your bloodstream (i.e. through a cut) or if you have an allergic reaction to rust.
