I took a vid on my blackberry, and put it on my PC. I cant edit? how change format?

I took a video on my blackberry, an i want to edit it on my PC WMM, but format not supported, how do i change format of the video file, so i can edit it. Thanks!
What do u mean by 'going into the file name' the file on my PC or on the BB. and what exactly do i do ? thanks
