this isnt exactly the biggest deal in the world, i just really struggle to forget or move on from things and yesterday, at school one of my mates and i were playing around with a teacher (he was fine with it) but then i accidentally took the joke to far, niether of us meant to, he just suddenly snapped, and to be fair, the joke was to his exapense but we thought he'd laugh it off. but the teacher is blaming me, and i see him alot and i already apologised for it, but he keeps stopping me tryna get angry at me about it again, and is usually interupted by another kid talking to him, so i manage to bail away but i hate this idea of me feeling like i have to avoid him.

he isn't one to forget, move on or accept apologies and he is vital to my schooling life (he finalises my report) and is responsible for my exam marks scaling (whether they move depending on the average) and i dont wanna feel like i annoyed him.

he has a very steriotypical view on teenagers and he doesnt accept apologies because he says 'we dont mean it'. what can i do about this??

im 16 by the way

Being a teacher, he can't let this personal experience affect your schooling. You are just going to have to prove to this teacher you mean your apology. It is going to take some time. Be the best student he has, don't give him any sh*t. Be to class on time, be quite and not disruptive in his class.

Let him have his time of being mad. Don't try to avoid him, if he does confront you, be professional about it. Remind him that you know he takes a lot of crap from students at this age and you are sorry it hurt his feelings. That is about all you can do.

Let him bring it up and talk about it, otherwise I wouldn't talk about it.

tell him to back off, he already talked to u about it he should be done with it after that. Tell him u already apologized and what else do u want?

depends on what the joke was about...but SAYING you're sorry clearly won't make him realize that you really did not mean whatever you said...so you have to SHOW him...whatever you said in the joke, you have to prove by your actions that you do not actually believe it. The only way to make him believe you really mean what you say is to prove it by your actions. Whatever you said about him that wasn't true, just treat him the opposite. For an example, did you say he is mean? Then stand up for him when another student says he's mean...and tell them that he is not mean.

He should be reported to your school office because it sounds like he's got big issues. Sit down with your parents and explain what happened. School should be a learning and fun experience, not having to deal every day with an immature teacher. I wish you the best of luck and hope I've helped you out.
