Here is what I thought of. What do you think would happen if NASA launches a vehicle into space that travels in one direction only. And if it keeps going, where do you think it will end?, what will happen? Will it go out of space and into another universe, or is space infinite. Oh and just use you're imagination about these: the vehicle never runs out of fuel, and whenever it senses solid or liquid matter, it moves away, so it does'nt crash into anything.

It will eventually interface with an advanced alien technology thinking it's name is VGER and come back to Earth to bother us.

black hole. it can't steer away from it. a black hole is like a vortex like a tornado and sucks in everything in its path and draws everything towards it. what space liquid is there? lol stars are hot balls of solidified gas like rock center probably. cuz they have a gravitional pull. Nasa couldn't design such a thing. vehicles have no wings and u need wings to fly. rockets are propelled by fuel that only lasts so long. it's ur imagination at work. how's it supposed to return anyways? why would they waste the money for that?

first once something is thrown at escape velocity it will be launched into space and does not need fuel to travel but will continue to move......Secondly the fastest thing u can make will take million years to just cross milky way for get about the universe ..it will probably take so long that our solar system will not even exist....

An impossible scenario impossible to answer. but very interesting.
If there is no observer do you think there is an object to be observed?

Even if it were traveling at the speed of light, it would take over 13.7 billion years to reach the edge of the observable universe. It would take another 13.7 billion years to tell us what it found. I would think after all that time humanity would have other things to worry about, like the death of the Sun. In all probability no one would even remember this space craft was launched.

The standard answer is that it will end up exactly where it started because of the positive curvature of space, but by the time it gets back "here", nothing will be left and the Galaxy will be in a different place anyway.
