...same call anyone know how? A local financial institution called everyone on the list including an under age child . The nickname of a family member was used . Does Verizon have the right to sell the lists? The caller said my name and number was on paperwork filled out by my son a total lie. Has anyone had this happen ? What can I do?
 
I have verizon myself, and no they don't have the right. It's invasion of privacy, and I don't think verizon would do that. But what could happen is if you register online and they ask for a cell phone number than other companies have access.. I had to get results online, and the only way I could get them is if I gave my cell phone number, and add who my carrier was. After that my husband and I started getting weird texts from different companies advertisements to be exact, and telemarketing calls on our cell phones. I called verizon they put my number on block, and if you do start getting texts just text NO back and they will stop..
