I have 2 figure 8 puffers and 2 green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon tank. They are about 1 1/2-2" long. I got the figure 8's first and they seemed to be in good health. I got the 2 spotted puffers 2 days later and I think one was sick but I didn't catch it in time. Now all 4 fish have white large white spots the size of a pinhead on their body. Also, their skin seems to fall off. 1 figure 8's had red spot on the mouth, and tail rot. I went to the fish store and got Tetracycline and followed the directions for a week. The red spot on the mouth went away but the white spots didn't. The tail rot is going away too. I went back to the fish store and got Triple Sulfa and this is the 2nd day but so far, nothing is happening. The only thing is 3 of the fish are chewing the tail off one of the figure 8's. I segregated it but not sure what else to do.I also add 1/4C kosher salt to their tank water when I change it out and increased the temperature to 85F from 82.
