I think my cellphone is broken?

I was using my cellphone yesterday night (this morning) at like 1am.
Just for texting, and the battery was low so I turned it off so that I could call my dad this morning.
When I turned it on it said "service required" and I had perfectly good service earlier.
Now that I am home I ALWAYS have service, but it still needs service.

I don't understand why it's like this?
Is my phone broken?
I didn't drop it or anything.

I got my phone the Christmas of 2007, so it's over a year old.
It the LG Shine flip phone.

Any help is appreciated.

If ur cell has not been dropped, then it nt the issue with the cell phone. So don't panic.

The cell shows no service for two reasons:

1. The signals are not available at ur place.

2. Ur service operator is facing some connection issues or it has banned ur services for issues like non-payment of dues etc.

So the best available option is to call ur service helpline and ask them for the reason.
