I think I just got a PS3 from costco.com...

After spending 3 hours trying to get it and many runtime errors and error pages, I just got a confirmation email from Costco.

What's weird is I had the PS3 in my cart before it sold out, but was told by someone on the phone that it doesn't reserve it for you when it's in your cart. I went through the checkout process at least 100x, each time ending with an error...I finally got to the last step where you press "Complete Purchase" and that gave me a runtime error too. I kept trying to go through the checkout process, checked my email, and voila: confirmation email.

I hope I get it

Cliffs: Costco's site was explosion, I internet, then I got a confirmation email.
 
haha costco.com is still down :P

the amount of loss revenue for 3 hours of being offline, i think costco would have been better off just selling the PS3 instore
 
I bought a 32" LCD HDTV too...I didn't actually want to buy it yet, but it was in my cart and I didn't want to risk missing out on the PS3 while trying to remove it
 
That happened to me at least 30x (meaning I actually got to the page 30x and had it give me an error while trying to go to the next...it took me at least 5x as many tries just to get there )

Just keep trying and you'll get it. The quickest way for me was I had 3 windows open, once you get to any part of the checkout phase, copy the URL, if it fails you can either refresh and it will ask you if you want to resubmit the data...that's what you want to do. Then just open some more windows/tabs with that same URL and hammer that fucker till it gives you your PS3.

I'd say keep trying, buy an LCD TV with it that way if they try to cancel you can say "Well I'm buying an LCD TV too and the sale was processed" etc etc

When I try to add it to my cart, it says that I've reached my 1 order limit, so it must be working

It keeps bouncing between "Add to Cart" and " We're sorry, this product is currently out of stock."

Here's what I get when I try to add it:

"Quantity would surpass the maximum of 1 allowed for this product."
 
I know you stupid fuck. My point is that I'd be able to add it to my cart had I not bought one already. That means IT WAS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.
