The VIN should be in more than one place. Make sure it is the same in every location and not altered in any way.

If you still feel the bike is stolen contact the poliec and have them run the number. If you have the title and recent registration from the seller they can also run the tag # off the registration.

I've made a big mistake yesterday. I traded my motorcycle and cash for this guys bike that he recently traded form someone. So the title is signed by the origninal owner and future dated (to avoid late fees). the guy gave me two original keys and all the documents of the previous owner. I tried checking the bike on carfax, it said the Vin is in correct.
I don't know what to do.

please help before something unexpected could happen.

thank you

Well, since the guy has original keys and a title of any kind, it's unlikely that the bike is stolen. Thieves don't go to that kind of trouble to dispose of stolen property. The title was improperly transferred, but you may still be able to get it cleared up if you work with people from the local DMV.
