I think I blew one of my back speakers on my Mazda Protege 2001?

So, when the bass hits I hear a scratchy, buzzing noise that I've never heard before today. I was listening to my music pretty loud too. So I'm pretty sure I blew the one on the right.

My question is, my friend has an extra 6x9 Infinity speaker from his 2001 Eclipse, would it be okay to replace my 6x9 Kenwood speaker with that? So then I'll have one Kenwood and one Infinity? Or should I just get them both changed?

Or should I just get some subs?
My bass on my car was turned up high and I had it on high volume.

Um, you can do that now, I mean for the mean time. I would recommend when you get some money, or if you do, to just buy a new set later and just see how the infinity sounds. Your 6x9s are still giving highs to your system so you wouldn't want to just neglect them and get some subs. 6x9s compliment subs very well...

Subs would just drown out the fact that its blown but to be honest you should just replace both 6x9s.

You probably had your bass on your deck turned up high and then listened to it at high volumes at the same time which would blow it.

If you just want a little bit of bass get a 10" sub running like 200 watts so that way you dont have to crank up the bass and blow more speakers

Sounds like its blown. If you replace it with the Infinity speaker, make sure it can handle the wattage its getting put into it.
