I still can't believe Obama and his minions ACTUALLY say the stimulus "worked." LOL

Pre stimulus they said unemployment would sky rocket without it. Unemployment still went up. They will say in one speech that half the 700 million has been released, but then in anrabroad
her say without the stimulus things would be so much worse.

I seriously lose all respect for a politician when they can say with a straight face that 350milion or even the full 700million could have done a single fucking thing in the grand scheme of the American economy.

They admit they aren't sure where all the money went. The only "jobs" created can be attributed to some bullshit road/bridge projects that aren't permanent.

Such a joke.

...and the CBO can only act on the info given. In the case of the HCR bill for example, information was incomplete/withheld to skew the results and make it appear deficit-neutral.

So the CBO may be non-partisan, but to consider their numbers as the be-all-end-all is naive.

Im just waiting to see the unemployment numbers after all the UI benefits dry up.....

I wonder what will happen to them

"Worked" really needs some criteria assigned to it.

Too bad no reasonably objective ones were established prior...

"The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, create or save millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges so our country can thrive in the 21st century."
http://www.sba.gov/recovery/

has the economy been jump started - no
have jobs been saved or created - no
down payment on increased government spending, they seem to have that one handled

'The stimulus didn't work because everyone who thought it did had a job beforehand'

This is slightly better than 'yet anrabroad
her reason why x group is stupid'. Slightly.

Wait...maybe we can combine the two sentiments.

'Everyone who thinks the stimulus worked is an obamatard who was nrabroad
wearing the right t-shirt'

Now we're thinking!
