good for you. nope no tips, just be yourself, be sincere and have fun. always wear that gorgeous smile on your face. there is nothing that is going to set the mood for the evening when you walk into a place to eat and you get hostess who looks like she just had a fight with your boyfriend. oh yea, leave your troubles at the door. table for 2 please.

How fun!! I love Ruby Tuesdays, its such a nice restaurant, good going!!!! Just keep that smile on at all times, and enjoy your new job, you will do fine. That is a well loved restaurant I would think you will really enjoy working there!!

i worked at a restraunt its not scary, if you are apeople person and love to talk than you will be great, make sure though u dont play with ur face touch it, put ur hair up it doesnt have to be like totally up, but a cute low ponytail as long as the hair is out of ur face it will be fine. also ask questions dont be shy, if u didnt get one thing right way just say explain this to me again. dont worry its a blast and the tips are awsome. good luck

I actually used to waitress and host at Ruby Tuesday. My Best advice tips are these:
-Always be friendly and smile and say "Hi" to each guest.
-When not busy, help the servers buss their tables, since you normally do get a tip share from them at the end of the night.
-Helping roll silverware if it was needed, and the managers permit, was always a plus.
-When you see the different sections, make sure you seat all the servers equally. Make sure they all get sat tables fairly, and don't double and triple seat, as that will piss them off (don't seat them two tables back to back).
-When taking down names, ask for a last name, party count, and what kind of table they prefer.
-Show interest in the menu and the restaurant, and before no time, maybe a manager will promote you to a server so you can make more money!

Be attentive but be sure to let the people enjoy their food. There is nothing worse than a server that keeps interrupting your conversation to find out if everything is ok.
Don't leave your station if you can't see when someone needs you.
Deliver all condiments and anything the customer has requested PRIOR to the meal being delivered. There is nothing worse than getting your food but you have to wait for the condiments you asked for when you ordered.
Try and anticipate what the customer will want or need based on what they ordered and ask if they'd like it before they ask you for it.
I'm sure they'll give you their way of doing things when you get there but the suggestions above should help you anywhere you serve.

Yes. Just be polite and courteous and listen to what they tell you. And try not to talk to much or give any information out to others to other employees as they might use it against you. The less they know the better for you and your job. Congratulations on your job by the way!!!
