I sold my cellphone but i dident know i had to deactivate it first can i do that...

...with a balance? I sold my us.cellular phone to someone that wanted it,but i dident know i had to deactivate it,i know i lost my common sense ok,but anyway i have a previous balance in which i cannot pay at this moment,will that be a problem for me to deactivate phone,for someone else to use?
 
If you cancel the line so they can start a contract in their name then you will have to pay the balance and a cancellation fee ($175-$200 normally depending on your provider) if you are still under contract. If not then you will still have to pay the balance no matter what.
