I shave my arms so the hair grows back thick. if I wax them will they go back to normal?

Im pretty tired of shaving my arms but I started to years back so the hair grows back all dark and thick. it's annoying because I wouldn't mind having arm hair now, but it looks too disgusting since I shave. if I were to grow it out and wax them, will the hair grow normally like it used to?
 
Shaving has no effect on thickness. All the growth takes place below the skin surface. The hair you shave off is essentially "dead". Think of it like trimming your toe nails.
