...closed account... help!? Ok, so I made the mistake of opening a checking account with my mother. I contributed some money in the beginning, but after that, she was the sole user of the account. I didn't know it, but she over drafted a couple of times and didn't pay fast enough, so the account was closed.
I, meanwhile, had opened another account at Bank of America, and they closed it suddenly on me, even though I had close to $2,000 in it. I was at the store and my card just didn't work.
My Mother payed of the fees from HER account, and they sent us a letter saying that they would inform Chexsystems of the payment.
**The question is, do you think I will be able to open another account, or will banks refuse me because of my mothers mistake?
