I would say about 70% of the time when I take naps I can see clear, vivid images of just random things. I know I'm not dreaming because it happens so quick that I'm still thinking about how I'm going to get comfortable to take this nap. It's weird because I realize that I can see these images, yet I know I'm not visualizing them through my eyes, more like...well a 'further back' feeling.
I thought maybe it was sleep paralysis hallucinations, but I can always just open my eyes and get up, instantly snapping out of it, so I know it's not paralysis (plus I've had sleep paralysis hallucination before and it's really frickin' scary). These images that I see usually involve some moment in my day.
Any ideas?
