You can see the video on Vimeo. It's called Murmuration. I couldn't post a link. It looked like a huge cloud but then it would separate into two clouds and they would separate and go in different directions and then come back together and twist and turn and make all sorts of strange shapes in the sky. It was really beautiful but i don't understand why an enormous number of birds would get together and fly around in formations like that. Does it accomplish something? Somehow enhance their chances for survival? Or are they just having fun?
I saw a video of a lot of birds flying in strange formations. Why were they doing that?
