of business card? I reside in Navarro County, Texas. I have been contacted by CPS on Jan 4 by way of business card sent home with my son after CPS interviewed him at school without my knowledge or approval. I met with the CPS worker on the 5th in her office and requested to audio record the meeting. She requested the medical records of the children and requested I take a drug test. I refused citing it was my right to refuse and that I would not do so unless ordered by the court. I have not acknowledge any of the false allegations made against me. I was told I should send a record of the interview and have the respond and affirm the order of events and facts dictated from the interview. The worker has called twice asking for me to take a drug test and I have refused. I have also refused information on collaterals and havent heard from CPS today. What are my next steps in protecting my family? Should I reliquinsh these medical records and should I submit to a UA without a court order. I have done much research and it appears that I should not give any info to them unless I am forced, is this correct. I work for the state of texas and do not make a lot of money but would be willing to set up payments or find some way around this. I would also be willing to pay some kind of per-document fee in regards to further correspondence with CPS. I just went through a divorce with my wife and have custody of the children and the allegations are against both of us. CPS has been unable to locate my ex to this point. UPDATE I heave no heard from the CPS worker until today 28 days later. She stated she wanted to inspect the house or she would be forced to get a court order.
