i recently purchased an '87 dodge dakota, the steering column jiggles? fix?

no matter what speed you are going it jiggles like the steering wheel is loose, it IS NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TIRES. like if the car was in park you could grab the steering wheel and push it up, down, left, and right. That kind of loose! is it just a bolt in the steering column that needs tightened? or what?
