i recently got these shoes

just lace it up to where it starts slopping up. if it looks weird then lace it up alittle more. you could also do what i do and tie the knot behind the tongue and it sticks out.

Lace only through the first 4 or 5 holes, that's how I keep similar shoes.

don't put your lace through two or three holes...yeah that should do it! ;]
