My main question is can the transmission filter plug up after driving it for a while? We had gone to Kansas and on the way home the van started making a noise like the motor was being raced, best I know to describe it. Anyways I pulled over and stoped,left the van running and checked the tran. oil, which was ok according to the dip stick. We sat there for about 20 minutes and then put the van into overdrive and precedded on home. It would not shift into the higher running gear, it would only go about 40 to 45 mph. Will a change of the trans filter and oil be my problem? Please help as soon as possible.
