...it was received.? My first deduction was for 25%. I informed HR that I was head of household and filled out a new W-4. They shouldn't be doing another deduction from my next check since they over deducted the first time, correct?
The W-4 DOES have options at the top to mark as single, divorced or head of household. In Missouri, if you are head of household, they are only allowed to take 10% of your disposable income. Since this has been corrected during the time period of the garnishment, they have already exceeded the amount they are allowed to deduct. Do I have any legal standing for them to not deduct from my next check due to this extra deduction they have made?
