can't pay? I got a speeding ticket in Georgia for 71 in a 45 (26 over the limit) which is considered reckless driving under the Georgia vehicle code 40-13-6. Reckless driving requires me to show up in court rather than just mail in a payment. I called the court and they said it would be $257 minimum which has to be payed on the court date. I have the minimum and I know it will be more obviously, What if the full amount of the speeding ticket cannot be payed on the court date? surely there is some period of time to pay it or something. I'm 17 years old if it matters.
 
The judge will ask you if you need more time to pay. All you need to do is plead guilty in court.

Speak to the prosecuter and he will lower it to the next level.
