I really want to cut my hair like Mick Ronson's, but I'm worried about first...

...impression at high school? I will be going into 9th grade at the end of the summer. I've been dying to cut my hair like Mick Ronson's (I would get a red David Bowie mullet but I don't have the face shape for it), but all my friends and family keeps telling me that if I do it, when I go to high school everyone will think I'm weird and I won't make friends... what should I do? I would also like to dress like Ziggy Stardust except way toned down, but I don't think I can get away with it???

Mullets aren't the style anymore.
So I wouldn't do it if I were you.
