I really need guidance and opinions?

I'm 20, and I graduated two years ago. I took two years off of my education because although I knew what I wanted to do, I didn't find a school that I was happy with. So in the meantime, I have been studying independently in NYC.

It's starting to slowly pay off, and I just did my first show in the city about two weeks ago. The thing that is really getting to me now, is, I still do not know of a school that I am happy with. And not only that, if I go to a school for my craft - I would have to freeze the work (that I have worked so hard all my life) to accomplish.

If it feels wrong, should I listen and not go to college? Or is it a mistake? Getting a degree in a performance field will not help you with your career, or with finding a day job while you pursue that career. And I know everything my friends are learning in college about the career already.

I just feel like no matter what direction I go, it's going to make a pivotal mistake that I will come to regret and spite myself for, for the rest of my life.
