and try to crank it &it would
when it does crank it does instant.but one of my cooling fans turns slow,it ran fine for about a hour, then turned off when i tryed to crank it acts like the battery is dead but its not i am about to crank it and then pull pos cable off if if turns off it should be the alt.
1991 acura integra,,i bought it wrecked in the front end minor raid support, raid, bumper cover, hood i repaired it my self (17 yrs as a I-car certified bodyman , PPG certified painter) i just pulled the pos. cable off the batt. while it was running and the engine went dead how accurate is that does it really mean that it is the alt,,,,,,i read in my acura repair man. and it said and shows that cv shaft on drivers side has to be removed to be able to remove the alt is real tight that will be a paying job ouuuch

i would do that same test but use the negative wire, but your results i agree with. it sounds like a bad alternator to me. another test you might still be able to do is this, using a volt meter test battery voltage. should be around 12.6, yours will not be ill bet. now start the car, let it run for a few minutes. voltage should now be between 13.5 - 14.5, if you are seeing any thing lower than this, turn the car off and start checking fuses, a checking system fuse in particular. if that fuse is fine then get ready to replace an alternator. can be a little expensive depending on the vehicle type. for the civic i own the last one cost me 214.00 i believe.
