Those currently who own one are you happy with it? I heard the Wi-Fi is slow.

Those holding out ... what are you waiting for? The nano version? For another carrier like verizon or t-mobile to offer the iphone?

My 9 year old cousin got the iphone, i played around with it and its freaking awesome... but surfing the net is slooooow
 
its fine, especially if you don't have 3g currently.

the next version should have 3g, but other than that it does everything I would need in it and more.

EDGE and wifi are far from unuseable, shit every BB user is forced to used edge only anyways
 
All it the thing is, is eyecandy. Yeah its sexy but I am not going to take 3 steps back in functionality. I need activesync and 3G to make it worth its while. That and you can NEVER get over the fact that there will not be any 3rd party apps for it because Apple is not releasing SDK's.

they use safari as a run time enviornment, but they are available. they announced it at the last apple conerence more than a month ago.

it will also work with corporate email accounts very soon too
 
Yeah but that has its limitations I am sure. Have to see how this plays out. That would be like running XP and having all your apps run through IE.
 
the phone so far is outstanding....the internet is incredible to view, the EDGE network could be faster but having 3G right now would kill the battery. Wi-Fi is far from slow. It's almost just as fast as my home internet. The only things I'd like right now are custom ringtones and the ability to dl attachments....which could easily be fixed with a software update. I've heard they're fixing the camera so that's a plus too.
 
Coming from a blackberry and only having edge I don't really notice a difference. Wifi works as fast as I need it to when I'm around one

Everything I need to do with a phone personally the iphone does it, and looks damn good doing it. I also enjoy talking really loud on it in crowds

"Yes I'm calling you from my iPhone, yes it was $600, that's right" That way all the poor people around me can feel even worst about themselves.
