price? I went to a popular well-known surgeon in my city, and he has such a great office, better than other places I visited and a great staff. I was afraid I'd have to pay a little over $2,000 for the surgery because I recently lost my insurance and it got reinstated late.

My pre-op was $75, and unlike other surgeons saying I need another x-ray because my old one was over 6 months old, this surgeon said it's okay, he can go off based on the old one because I'm 20 and my teeth couldn't have moved too much. Do you think $1,775 for four impacted teeth, N2O and I.V. sedation and post-op care was a good price? And does anyone know if medical bills paid out of pocket can be written off on taxes?
