I own game maker 7 in (simple mode) not pro version either and I have a problem?

I can create the room, i can put the sprite and objects in but when in game play the room wont continue even though in (room design) it goes on and when i play it, the room will not go on but my sprite continues to traval in case i dont have a wall of corse. What can i do to make my game work properly
