i know that if i were to put 15" or 16" rims on my car i would have no problem with clearance issues on my 1988 BMW 325e. i found a set of 17 inch rims that are very nice and for a great deal. i am not very mechanically inclined and want to know what problems will i have with putting that large of a rim on the stock bmw 325. i know i will need a very thin tire which is expensive but thats not my problem. the 17" im is fairly wide as well im sure ill need spacers. i guess what im trying to figure out is 1. is it a good idea to put that large of a rim on the car and 2. if i do, what types of problems will i have, and what other parts will i need in order to install and enable the vehicle to drive properly. all and any usefull tips and advice will be surely appreciated.
