...I have had major changes? in my income. Now on Social Security and I can not pay the full payment. I have been sending them half the payment and have not missed one. They are now calling, me 3 times or more a day asking for another payment in the same month. I have explained everything to them and ask to please reduce my payments even if it takes several more years to get pd. off. They will notl work with me. Say they will take me to court. I feel if they do, they Judge will see my income and health problems and can't believe they would put me in jail or make me pay more or I can't pay my house payment and utilities and eat. Does anyone know how I should handle this. I offered to write a hardship letter they don't want it. Think I will anyway and tape all the phone calls they are making to me each and every day. I am paying them $67.00 on the 15th of every month but they want the full amt which is double that amount. HELP if you know how to handle this? I don't want not to pay them and I have told them this over and over. I ma showing them i am making every effort I can. I am afraid they will stop taking my half payment and then I don't know what will happen. Again any good advise that will truly help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. This is the only bill I owe other than home and living expenses.
