...possibility. Is there a God? Is there, or is there not a God. Is there evidence that can act as proof for the side that denies God? Is there proof for the side that believes in God (not meaning the Bible because it's not proof)?

I wish there was a God, but I cannot let myself believe.
Differing Sides: Atheists, Theists (part. Christian)

Evidence Supporting Atheists:
1) We cannot see or hear God.
2) Scientific advancements are being made every day

Evidence Supporting Theists:
1) Atheists cannot prove the Big Bang theory
2) God's blessings do seem to be showered on his followers
3) They have the Bible if you count it

Both sides clearly lack evidence, but what does that mean?

If God is purely a figment of the mind, then someone of old had to be the first to think up God. I cannot see man thinking up God without having seen some form of deity.
