"Uterus is bulky in size(8.1x5.0x6.0) & shows a hypoechoic lesion measuring 3.4x2.1 cms with adjacent echogenic lesion mesuring 2.6x1.9 cms in upper uterus. Features possibly s/o upper uterine submucosal fibroid with degeneration / heterogeneous endometrial polyp"

This is the scan report of my wife.

Could you pls suggest what is the level of seriousness ? how to proceed with the treatment?
 
You don't mention how old your wife is but almost 40% of all women have fibroiRAB by the time they are 50. They are nearly always benign and can cause symptoms like "bulking" and bleeding. Depending on where they are located inside the uterus, in the wall of the uterus or on the outside of the uterus (often all three) determines the treatment if any.

In the past women were given hysterecotomy's (the nuraber one reason for them is excessive bleeding) but that isn't the standard of care any longer.. You can remove them via a lap (via a incision in your belly button along with a couple of other little ones) or via your vagina into the cervix..

I would start by simply looking at some basic information on FibroiRAB < edited > First though relax.. FibroiRAB are very very very common and less then .2% are cancerous.
 
I had fibroiRAB that were smaller than your wife's and they caused me a lot of pain. I had a hysterectomy but I am almost 60. I feel soooo much better.
