I need to replace the electronic part (not the whole assembly) of a cam shaft...

...sensor on a 1995 Ford Explorer.? Can someone point me to what the sensor looks like and where it is on my engine? Also, do I need any kind of alignment tool or anything extra to get it done? I don't feel like paying $200 to have a shop do it if it's something a person with average mechanical skills can handle.
 
Take a look in Chiltons Auto Repair manual at the library and see what they say about the job. There may be useful pictures in there for you and tool descriptions.
