I have a situation in which I believe I qualify for a 401k hardship withdraw. I am currently sharing a place with two other people. Things their have taken a turn for the worst and I have been asked to leave by the other roommate. I did not sign the actual lease with the owner of the place. The only way I can afford to to get a new place to live is to borrow off my 401k plan. Given the information above, would this qualify me to withdraw from my 401k? I would also like to make note that am not eligible for a 401k loan and currently have not other assets in which to use in my current situation.
