i need to know the title of a book with a girl named sam well i think her name was sam?

all i could remember is that she had some kind of wings and she was trying to escape from something , i think that there is to books to the story and i think the girl had a brother or something, i really cant remember all that much about the book
any help would be great
 
Was it Maximum Ride by James Patterson? Or it could have been When The Wind Blows or Cradle and All by James Patterson. These were all about kids that had been genetically altered and had their genes spliced with birds. The result was that all these kids had wings and could fly. GREAT BOOKS to read... kept me up all night finishing them. Hope this helps!!!
